Falcon Crest 

Season 2 Episode 4

Airdate:  October 22, 1982

Recap:  Chase pulls up at Carlo’s house, and runs inside, he asks Cole if he is alright.  Cole tells him that he just found him like that.  The Sheriff comes over and starts to question Cole, Chase says that he thinks that they should get a lawyer, but Cole says that he’s got nothing to hid, and he tells the Sheriff that he did touch the body, when he was trying to revive him.  When the Sheriff asks him if he touched anything else, Chase stops him and says that they need to get a lawyer.  Melissa arrives at the house she runs into the ambulance.  Cole asks Lance where Melissa was, Lance tells him that she was with him.  Cole realizes that Carlo lied to him about Melissa being at the house.

   Philip tells Angela that Carlo left Melissa with all his debt; she has his land, but no money.

   Maggie wants Cole to tell her what happened, but he doesn’t want to talk about it, he throws a fit telling them that he doesn’t want any help and runs out of the house.

   At the funeral Lance tells Melissa that even though it doesn’t change anything between them that he is sorry about her father.  She thanks him and tells him that he is right it doesn’t change anything.  Chase asks Cole how he is holding up, he tells Chase that he wants to talk to Melissa; he tells Cole that he should wait a while.

Richard comes into the house, he tells Melissa how sorry he is, Angela joins them and asks him what he is doing there.  Melissa thanks him for coming, once he is gone; Melissa asks her why she was so rude.   Angela says that she knows that he is only there because he wants her land.  Melissa tells her that he is coming to the right person then, since it belongs to her.

   At The Globe Richard asks who is covering the Agretti murder, he tells the reporter he wants it covered for the front page.  Diana tells Richard that the police think that it was Cole.  Richard tells her that its bad luck for him since Angela has spurned him since he arrived.

   Angela asks Nick if she can count on his vote, he tells her that he can’t tell her.  She makes it clear that she won’t do any business with him if he doesn’t vote in her favor.

   A reporter arrives at Falcon Crest to question Melissa; Lance throws him out of the house.

   Cole is out driving and after a little accident he meets another local vineyard owner.  She offers him a job working in her field.  He asks her if he can think about it.

   Maggie tells Chase that she thinks that they should hire a criminal lawyer from San Francisco, but he tells her that Burton, the lawyer who drew up the contract for Angela to finally let him work at Falcon Crest, can do the job.  He tells her that everything will be alright.

   Melissa and Cole meet out in the vineyard, she tells him that she wants to talk; she wants to understand what happened.  He tells her that everything he told the police was the truth; he tells her that her father told him that she was there, and wanted to settle their differences.  She kisses him and tells him that she believes him.

   The Sheriff comes over and asks to see Cole, Chase tells him that he is out, he tells Chase that Cole’s fingerprints were found on the murder weapon.  He tells him that he wants to see Cole at the station the next day.  Chase tells him that he will be there with his lawyer.  The Sheriff tells him that’s good, because he’ll need one.

   Melissa goes to see Richard; he tells her that he is still interested in buying the house.  She asks him why that house.  He tells her that he is trying to find his mother and find out why she left him.

   Emma is packing; she hides the suitcase when Julia comes to check on her.  She tells Julia that she should leave Falcon Crest and be with Tony.

   Richard tells the reporter that the article needs to be rewritten; he wants it to be more sensational.  The reporter tells Richard that he has principles.  Richard tells him that he is too old to be looking for another job.  He agrees to have the article rewritten and leaves.  Diana tells Richard that he has quite a way with people.

   Nick tells Chase about what Angela said to him, he tells Chase that he bought a lot of irrigation pumps after talking to Angela one day, and that if he doesn’t vote the way she wants then he will be out a lot of money.  Chase tells him that she is buying his vote.  Nick tells him that it doesn’t matter what why he votes, he will lose either way.

   Cole tells Vicky about the woman he met, she tells her name is Katherine, and she tells him more about her.

Emma drives over and gives Chase and early birthday gift; she tells him that she is leaving.  Chase tells Emma that if she needs anything to call him.  She asks him to say goodbye to Maggie for her.  After she leaves Maggie comes over.  He tells her that Emma is leaving Falcon Crest; he opens the envelope and finds that she has left him her proxy to The Globe.

   Julia comes downstairs and tells Angela that Emma is gone. 

   Vicky brings in the paper and shows it to the family.  The headline shows a picture of Chase and Angela and asks what they are hiding.  Maggie reads the article, it talks about the family feud between the two families, and that Cole and Carlo fought, about his relationship with Melissa, and it brings up Cole’s arrest in New York.  Cole runs out of the room, Maggie follows him and tells him that they will make sure nothing happens to him.

   Angela goes outside and asks Lance about the article, he tells her that he was trying to protect Melissa; she tells him that Melissa could have taken care of herself.

   The board is voting on the water rights, Chase walks in and asks if they are starting without him.  They remind him that he can’t vote, but he says that he will sue if they don’t let him.  He produces a document that supports his claim.  He is allowed to vote and its two votes for and two against, its Nick’s turn to vote, he looks at Angela then votes in favor of sharing the water.  Angela goes over to Chase and tells him to enjoy his victory for now.

   Philip comes over and tells her that Emma’s car was found at the airport, but she wasn’t seen boarding any planes.  He tells Angela that Emma is a lot smarter than they have given her credit for; he tells her that she doesn’t want to be found.

   The Sheriff goes to Chase’s house and Cole that he is being arrested for the murder of Carlo Agretti.

Final Thoughts:  I loved the part when Emma gave Chase her proxy; it guessed what it was right when she gave it to him.  I can’t wait for Angela to find out, that will be awesome.  I thought this was a great episode, I only hope that they don’t drag out the murder trial for very long.  Since forensics were not as advanced then it will get really frustrating.

Best Outfit:  Both Vicky and Maggie have horrible outfits, Maggie's is worse, but there is something about Vicky's that I don't like.

Kristin

Knots Landing

Season 2 Episode 5

Original Airdate:  December 18, 1980

Recap:  Kenny takes Ginger home, she tells him that what happened last time won’t happen again, she tells him to give up Sylvie and then they can talk about getting back together.

   Kristin is at a party, she has two guys paying attention to her, and one of them gives her some drugs.  She doesn’t know what it is, and just as they are about to tell her what it is, the cops come in telling them to keep it down, they find Kristin with the drugs and arrest her.

   Ginger and Laura are out running, when they run into Karl, Jason’s pediatrician and the father of one of Ginger’s students. 

   Sid is trying to start his car, which stalled in front of Richard’s house; he is upset that Laura is late.  Sid tells Karen that he wants to help Richard since he is still sore about him firing Richard.

   Val answers the phone and it’s Kristin, she tells her that she and Gary are the only people she knows in California, she tells her that she was arrested and needs someone to pick her up.  Val asks her where she is and tells her that she will be right over.

   At the recording studio, Kenny is going over the arrangements of a new song, when Sylvie come up to him, she is upset because he just signed up two new acts, she doesn’t want him to produce any other women.  Kenny tells her that her jealousy needs to stop, but she tells him that he needs to stay away from all other women.

   Richard is helping Abby plant some flowers; Karen comes over to have them sign her petition.  When Karen and Richard start to argue, Abby breaks it up and makes them call a truce.

   Ginger talks to Karl at school, he asks her out for dinner, she tells him she can’t since she is going to go visit her mother, he asks her to have dinner with him that night, she says ok. 

   When Gary gets home Val tells him about Kristin calling.  She tells him about picking up at the police station.  Kristin comes down and Val introduces her to Gary, he tells her the last time he saw her she was ten.  She tells Val that Lucy talked all about them and about how great their house was.  Val tells her that she can spend some time with them.  She goes upstairs to dry her hair, and Gary tells Val that he knows that she is up to something.  Kenny comes over to pay Gary back, Val knows that he is there just to see Ginger, but she is out.  Kristin comes back downstairs and they introduce her to Kenny.  Kristin mentions that she needs a job, and Kenny tells her that he might be able to find something for her at the studio.

   Over dinner Ginger and Karl talk about their marriages, he asks her if he can take her to the airport, she agrees.

   Gary tells Val that he talked to Bobby about Kristin; he tells her that Bobby doesn’t know her that well, but that she worked closely with JR.

   Kristin and Kenny are saying goodbye when he sees Ginger come home with Karl, he see them kiss, and he drives away.

   At the recording studio, Kenny has Kristin work as the receptionist.  Sylvie comes over and meets Kristin, after Kristin goes for a tour of the studio, Sylvie tells Kenny to get rid of her.

   After school Ginger finds Kenny outside waiting for her, he asks her about Karl, he tells her that he doesn’t want her to see him anymore.  Ginger tells him that he has no right to say anything about what she does anymore. 

   When Kenny gets back to the studio, he realizes that he was supposed to take Kristin home, they have a drink together, and she asks him what’s wrong.  He tells her his problem is with women, he tells her that she is pretty, but he has enough problems.  When he drops her off he sees Ginger getting into Karl’s car with a suitcase, he thinks they are going away together.

   Ginger agrees to take a later flight and has dinner with Karl.

   Kenny and Kristin talk about his problems, he asks her why she is in LA, she tells him it’s a long story.  They start to kiss.

   Karl takes Ginger back home; he tells her that he’ll pick her up at nine to take her to the airport.  When Ginger goes inside she finds Kenny and Kristin together.  Kristin rushes back to Val and Gary’s house, with Kenny following her.  Ginger comes and throws Kristin’s purse to Kenny.  Kenny leaves telling her that he will see her in the morning.  Val follows Kristin upstairs.  Kristin tells her she doesn’t understand, and that she can’t tell her what is going on.  Val tells her just to say what it is.  Kristin tells her that she is pregnant; she tells her that she was hoping to find someone to be the father of her baby.  Val asks if she knows who the father is and if she loves him.  Kristin tells her that she doesn’t know if she loves him or not.  Val tells her that she should have told her, that she would have understood, after everything she went through.

   Laura asks Richard how much longer he will lounge around the house not looking for a job.  Richard tells her that he is looking, but he thinks he deserves a break.  He tells her that he was offered a partnership, but turned it down; she is shocked that he never told her this; he tells her that no one noticed him till Cargill came along.  She tells him to call them back and tell them that he changed his mind. 

   Gary is fixing breakfast, he is gloating because he knew that Kristin was nothing but trouble.  Val tells him that he doesn’t understand what she is going through.  Kristin comes in and tells them that she is leaving.  Val tells her she can stay, but Kristin tells her that it would be better if she left. 

   Kenny tells Sylvie that things have to change between them, that he can’t stand living like this.  He is getting ready to start recording when he is served with divorce papers.

Final Thoughts:  It was different seeing Kristin on this show, she’s still up to no good, but now we get a bit of info on her she’s pregnant, who is the father, JR or that boyfriend of hers, it really could be anyone.  The one thing I thought was weird was the part when Gary called Bobby and he didn’t have anything to say about Kristin, I find that hard to believe.  Kenny and Ginger just need to split up and they need to get rid of both of these characters, they bring nothing to the show in my opinion.  Richard is an idiot, he thinks that he can still do nothing in the house while Laura is working and doing everything she used to, she needs to kick him to the curb already, she has plenty of reasons already and I’m sure she’ll have more soon.

Hitchhike Part One

Knots Landing

Season 2 Episode 1

Original Airdate: November 20, 1980

Recap:  Sid is driving to the high school for the Knots Landing High Follies.  Karen is backstage with Diana, she looks out and sees that Sid still isn’t there.  Sid stops at a red light and a girl comes up to his window and asks him for a ride.  He tells her no, and drives away.  He sees a van pull up to the girl and sees that the driver is talking to the girl.  He turns around and tells the girl to get in, and drives away, the van follows them. 

   At the high school, Karen is still backstage helping Diana get ready to go on stage. 

   The girl tells Sid that her name is Pamela, she asks him how much money he has on him.  She asks him to give her a $100 so she can go see her mom.  Sid tells her that he’ll take her to the bus station and buy her a ticket. 

   Diana is now on stage with her two friends, they are doing a dance number, something you would see in a Bob Fosse show. 

   Pamela tells Sid that if he doesn’t give her the money she will cry rape.  They are passing a diner and there are cops outside, Sid tells her that now’s her chance.  She waits a bit till they are closer then grabs the wheel and cries out.  The police arrest Sid.

   At the jail, a cop recognizes Sid, he looks at the girl’s statement and asks her if that is what happened, she says yes.  He asks if Sid got his phone call, he then takes him into his office. 

   Richard and Laura are getting ready for bed when the phone rings, Richard tells Sid that he’ll be right there, and bring Karen with him. 

   At the station, the cop tells Sid that he doesn’t think that this will go any further, Karen goes to the window and watches the girl flirting with the other officers.  Pamela sees that Sid is getting to go home, she starts yelling at Karen about what he did to her. 

   Karen tells Sid that she thinks that they need to get a different lawyer, but Sid says that he trusts Richard to do it, she tells him that Richard is going to go talk to Pamela, he tells her that he was thinking of going to see her himself, she gets upset and tells him that she could accuse him again, and that he should just let Richard handle it.  Sid’s sister Abby gets to their house, her daughter is now repeating everything everyone says, and her son doesn’t talk only plays his trumpet.

   Later that night they have the neighbors over, Laura is telling Karen how much she is enjoying her job.  The doorbell rings and its Kenny, Ginger doesn’t look too thrilled to see him, they are separated, he wants to talk, but she tells him to go back to Sylvie.  Karen goes into the kitchen and is trying to decide if she wants to make a phone call, Sid asks her what she is doing, she tells him that she wants to hire a criminal lawyer; she tells him that she doesn’t think that Pamela will drop the case.  He tells her not to panic and they rejoin the party.  Val goes upstairs and talks to Abby’s daughter Olivia, after getting her to stop repeating everything she says, Olivia tells Val that her parents are getting divorced.  Gary tells Karen that he thinks that they should get another lawyers opinion.

   The next morning, Eric and Michael tell Abby’s son Brian to bring in the paper to their parents, he wakes them up by blowing on his trumpet, Karen shows Sid the paper, the headline is about the charges.  Later on Karen gets the name of another attorney and calls him.

   Michael gets into a fight at the beach over the story in the newspaper.

   Laura is with the realtor, they are showing the empty house in the cul-de-sac.  They seem to like they house, when they start to walk along the sidewalk, they see the name Fairgate on the mailbox, they ask the realtor about it, he tells Laura she should have told him that the Fairgate’s were her neighbors.

   Karen is reading the girl’s interview, the lawyer, Stan Lesser gives them some advice, he tells them to keep Richard as their lawyer, and that there is a good former criminal lawyer working at Richard’s law firm.  Michael gets home, and they can see that he is upset, Eric asks Sid why he had to pick up that girl in the first place.

   At the high school, Diana over hears a friend of hers talking about the time Sid took her home, and how he didn’t try to do anything to her.

   Sid notices that everyone is looking at him at the dealership.

   Richard goes over to Pamela’s apartment, he tells her that he wants to talk, he tells her that she is ruining Sid’s reputation, she asks him about her reputation.  He proceeds to try and bribe her into dropping the charges, by telling her that she could get some surfing stuff from a friend of his, and that she could spend some time at a house of a friend of his, that is by the ocean.

   Karen tells Sid that they need to get another lawyer if he is indited. 

   Richard is called to his boss’s office, he wants to know about the case, he tells him that he could get some help, but Richard tells him that he’s got it under control. 

   Richard goes back to Pamela’s apartment to take her to the station so she can drop the charges, but her mother is there, she tells Richard that they won’t be bought.  Richard tells Pamela that the stuff she got isn’t free, that she will get a discount for it.  Her mother tells him to get out, she tells him that they are going to trial and that they aren’t ashamed to air their dirty laundry.

   In the courtroom the judge rules that there is enough evidence to go to trial and Sid is indited for the attempted rape.  Richard tries to calm Karen down, and tells her that there is no case, and it’s only a formality.  She says that Sid will be the first man to be convicted on no case.

Final Thoughts:  I hate Richard, he is the worst lawyer.  I would never have kept him, maybe get his advice, then gone out and found some one more competent, not someone who is so full of himself.  He pretty much screwed Sid, buy trying to bribe Pamela.

Jock's Trial, Part One

Dallas 

Season 3 Episode 22

Original Airdate:   February 22, 1980 

Recap:  Jock is complaining about how Miss Ellie is never at home anymore, since she is trying to save Mimosa Park.

   Cliff is given the case about the body found on Southfork.

   Miss Ellie and the ladies of the DOA are trying to get support for their cause; Matt Devlin comes over and tells them he is tired of them holding all their meetings on his property.  They tell him that they will stop him.  He offers to take Miss Ellie home, and she accepts.

   JR tells Kristin that he doesn’t want her involved anymore in the plan; it wouldn’t look good if she was, and his parents wouldn’t appreciate her being in the picture before he and Sue Ellen are divorced.

   Sue Ellen throws things at JR when he comes into the room, he stops her and she tells him that she knows that someone was going through her things, he tells her that he had one of the maids do it to see if she was hiding any liquor.  He asks her if she is coming down for dinner.  Sue Ellen tells him no. 

   Downstairs Lucy is making a date for lunch the next day with a boy from one of her classes.  JR tells the family that he thinks he needs to put Sue Ellen back into the sanitarium.  Cliff calls and tells Pam that their father is back and that he is drinking again.  She tells him that she will be right over.  When she gets there he tells her that Digger got back before he came home from work, he tells her that Digger was fired and that he relapsed and drinking everything Cliff had in the house and tearing it up looking for more.  He tells Pam that it’s all the Ewing’s fault.  Pam tells him that she doesn’t want to listen to that again, she leaves and Cliff makes a phone call to talk to the Sheriff the next day about the body that was buried at Southfork.

   Jock tells Miss Ellie that he wants to spend the day with her, but she tells him that she has plans already with Matt Devlin. 

   At the Sheriff’s office, Cliff questions him about the body, he asks to see the effects found on the body, he sees the initials on the belt buckle and he asks if they found out who he was.  The Sheriff tells Cliff that he is busy.  Cliff tells him he wants the employment records from Southfork.  Cliff arranges it so an anthropologist will look at the body at the morgue.

   Bobby tells Sue Ellen that he thinks she has been spending too much time alone, he asks her if she needs help.  She asks him if he believes that she started drinking again.  Bobby tells her that he wants to believe that she isn’t.  Sue Ellen tells him that JR is trying to put her away; she tells Bobby that she wants a divorce from JR.  Bobby tells her that she needs to leave JR in the open and not hide it.  He tells her not to play any games, that JR is too good. 

   Matt Devlin shows Miss Ellie the plans, but she says that it won’t convince her that it’s a good thing, but showing them to her.  He asks her to have lunch with him; she tells him that she has to go.  Matt tells her that he will call her and they can talk again over lunch tomorrow. 

   The Sheriff is over at Southfork and tells Jock that the DA is going to investigate.  He tells him that they want the employment records.  Jock says that they don’t keep them that far back, but that they can have them if they can find them.  Ray suggests that he check the shed.

   Pam goes over to Cliff’s, she sees all the empty bottles on the floor, she goes into Digger’s bedroom and finds him lying on the ground, she calls for an ambulance.

   Bobby bursts into JR’s office and asks him why he cut back the on the oil field that he just opened.  Bobby tells him that he is supposed to consult him; he asks him what Jock would say if he went to him about his.  JR tells him that if can open the fields up again and that next time he will consult with him first.

   Cliff and the Sheriff are going over the records and find a couple of names that match with the initials on the belt, HM.  Cliff is told about one of the men, Hutch McKinney, who was the foremen at Southfork, he had a bad temper, Cliff asks if he thinks that Jock could have killed him.

   Cliff meets up with Pam at the hospital; she is upset that he hasn’t been with their father all day.  He tells her that he is trying to help him his own way.  She tells him that it’s not good; all his drinking has done a lot of damage.

   Sue Ellen tells Dr. Elby that she is going to leave JR, he asks her about the baby, she tells his that she has thought of nothing but him, she knows that if she took him with her that JR would come after her, so she will leave the baby and Miss Ellie and Pam will take good care of him till she can come for him.  He asks her if she is strong enough to leave her baby, she tells him that with Dusty’s help she can do it.

   Cliff is assigning investigators what he wants them do for the case.  He tells one of them to take metal detectors to Southfork.  The assistant DA comes in and tells him that he can’t keep the investigators on the case for too long since they have newer murders that they need to wrap up; he tells Cliff that he just has a grudge against the Ewing’s.  Cliff calls the anthropologist that he needs him to hurry and get the results to him.

   Miss Ellie asks Bobby how Digger is doing, he tells her not good, and tells them that Cliff is after the Ewing’s again.  Bobby tells JR that Sue Ellen told him that she thinks he is trying to put in the sanitarium and that he is trying to make them all believe she is drinking.  JR tells him to stay out of it.  Bobby asks what he’ll do, make them all think he’s drinking too.

   Cliff gets to the hospital and tells Pam to go home and rest, she tells him that she doesn’t want to leave Digger, she will rest out in the waiting room.

   Sue Ellen goes to the nursery and talks to Baby John, she tells him that she has to leave but it won’t be for long and that he will be with her and Dusty soon.  When she turns to leave he says Mama.

   The anthropologist brings the model he made from the body to Cliff. 

   The Sheriff tells Jock, JR, and Bobby what Cliff has come up with, Ray comes over and tells them that a gun was found not far from where the body was buried.  Jock tells his son’s that they need to pull all their favors in and get Cliff taken off the case, because if Ray is right then the gun is his.

   Cliff is interviewing a man who was at the bar and witnessed a fight between Hutch McKinney and Jock, he has him tell the Sheriff everything he told Cliff.  He tells him that Jock and McKinney were fighting and Jock fired him, and told him that if he didn’t leave the ranch by the morning then he’d kill him.

   Sue Ellen goes to Dusty’s, but he isn't at his place yet.

   Miss Ellie and Matt are having lunch together, he tells her that he doesn’t want to talk about the park, she asks what he wants, he tells her that he wants to talk about them.  He tells her that all this time that they have been fighting he has been falling in love with her and she’s been falling in love with him.  She tells him that she wants to leave, and he says that he won’t talk anymore and asks her to finish her lunch.

   At Dusty’s Sue Ellen is watching the news when she gets the news that Dusty’s plane crashed and there  was no sign of life.  She goes over to the bar and gets a drink.

   Bobby comes home as the Sheriff is reading Jock his rights; he is being arrested for the murder of Hutch McKinney.

Final Thoughts:  Of course Cliff would be given the case, even though I think that they would want to get someone with no prejudice to try the case, since everyone in the state of Texas knows about the feud between the Barnes' and the Ewing's.  If he were to be convicted they could get a retrial since the prosecution wasn't impartial, we've been watching a lot of Law & Order lately.  And Sue Ellen's drinking again!  Won't JR be happy.

Best Outfit:  I had a hard time picking something for this episode, and the only reason why I picked this is because his hair matches his suit, and plus he look just plain creepy.

The Candiate

Falcon Crest 

Season 1 Episode 13

Air Date:  February 26, 1982

Recap:  A man sneaks by a security guard and goes into a man’s office, and shoots him.

Lance tells Angela and Julia that McKay’s dead, and that a man named Phil Everheart shot him.  Angela realizes that she bid on the shooter’s property.  Lance says that things will be better for her now that McKay's out of office.

   Julia and Emma are out shopping.  They are looking at some pieces, when Julia isn’t paying attention, Emma steals a bracelet.  The stores security guard sees this and follows them outside, he confronts them and Emma gives him the bracelet, he takes them into the managers office.

   At the funeral Angela compliments John on his eulogy, they talk about who will take over.  Chase is stopped by Carl, he tells him that he would like to talk to him.  Maggie asks why a member of the board of supervisors would wants his help. 

   Julia tells Angela about what Emma did, Angela asks her how she could have let this happen.  Julia tells Angela that no one was impressed when she told them who’s daughter they were.  Emma apologizes, Angela asks her why she embarrassed the family. 

   Chase meets up with Carl  He tells him that Angela has stacked the board and that she controls the water.  He tells him what McKay was trying to do.  Chase asks why no one has tried to it.

   Angela is meeting with a member of the committee, He tells her that he isnt’ sure working for her is worth it, she tells him to get Peter Burns in.

   Carl tells Chase that they don’t have a chance since the other members of the committee always vote the way Angela wants them too.  He tells Chase that he wants him on the board.  He tells him that he is the perfect candidate, he is the best hope that they got.  He reminds him that Angela controls the water and that she could destroy them all, when Chase tries to bow out.

   Burns goes to see Angela, she tells him that she is going to support his run for office. 

   When Chase gets home, Maggie wakes up and he tells her that he is going to run for the board of supervisors.  She tell shim that she wishes that he would have discussed this with her.  He tells her that he wold have but there was no time.  Maggie tells Chase that Douglas Channing wants her to write an article on Phil Everheart, the man that shot McKay

   Lance gets home and tells Angela that Lance is going to run for the board of supervisors. 

   Maggie goes to the jail and sits down with Everheart for the interview.  She asks him how he is going to plead, he tells her that not guilty.  He tells her that Angela tired to get his land and that he went to the officials since they are there to help them.  Phil says that Angela turned off his water, and that McKay told him that he would help him, but he never brought it up with the board, and then his vineyard died.

   Chase goes to the headquarters for his campaign.  Angela stops buy and tells Chase that she is proud of him and wants to give him $10,000 for the campaign.  Chase tells her that he doesn’t want her money.  She tells him that he will need her help.

   Phil tells Maggie that he isn’t sorry, he lost everything because of McKay and Angela Channing. 

   Chase is handing out fliers when Maggie meets up with him, she tells him about her interview and tells him that she knows why he has to run for the board.

   Angela tells Lance that she wants him to go to the store that Emma shoplifted at and talk to the manager, to get the charges dropped.

   Angela has a meeting with the editor of the local paper, she gives him the “true story” of Chase and his family.  He tells her that it makes for good reading, but that this isnt’ her style.  She tells him that the community deserves to know what kind of man Chase is.

   Carl calls and tells Maggie that Phil tired to kill himself in his jail cell.

   At the store Lance is talking with the manager, he tells Lance that they have to press charges, Lance tells him who is grandmother is, but he doesn’t care, he says that if the Queen of England walked in and stole something they would still press charges.  This is great, both Lance and Angela getting a big dose of reality that money can’t get you out of everything.

   At the hospital Phil overpowers the guard and sneaks out of the hospital.

   Lance tells Angela about Phil’s escape.  Angela tells Lance that she wants him to talk to the foreman they need to do something about their workers who are supporting Chase’s campaign.

   At a debate Chase is dong very well, Peter Burns is just trying to smear Chase.  McKay’s father comes up to Chase and tells him that he wants to support him and offers him $100,000, he tells him that the only thing he wants in return is for Chase to live up to his promises. 

   Lance is with the foreman they are sitting outside Chase’s campaign headquarters, they are discussing the Falcon Crest employees that are going inside, Lance tells him who to fire. 

   Angela gets the news about Chase’s campaign contribution, she says there is nothing to worry about.

McKay’s father comes to Chase and shows him the newspaper article, he is upset by what he’s read, and tells Chase that he thought he was honest.  Before he leaves he tells him that he is politically dead.  Chase reads the paper and sees that it’s about him and his family.

Maggie has written a rebuttal to the newspaper article.  Carl tells them that Phil Everheart called Angela and threatened her.

   Angela and Lance went back to the jewelry store.  The owner tells her that he doesn’t appreciate her pressure.  She lets him know that she knows about his business, things that she shouldn’t know without digging.  He tells her that his business is not her concern.  She tells him that she is a member of the board of the bank where he got his loan.  Lance says that they are going to call on his loan.

   Emma and Vicky are going on a picnic, Emma is telling Vicky about her crimes.  Emma is just about to tell her about Jason, when Vicky says she forgot the corkscrew, Emma says that there is one in the Spring House.  Vicky goes in, Phil Everheart is inside and grabs a knife and hides in the shadows.  Emma calls out saying that she found it, before Vicky can find him.

   Carl shows Chase the next article, this one is about Cole’s arrest in New York.  Chase goes to see Angela, he tells her that she was the only one who knew about Cole’s arrest and now it’s in the papers.  Everheart sneaks inside Emma’s room without waking her.  He overhears Angela and Chase arguing, when she goes upstairs he grabs her, holding the knife to her throat.  He demands a car.  Chase tells him to let her go, and that he will just get shot if he doesn’t let Angela go.  Chase tells Phil that he has been treated unfairly, he tells him that they want to help.  Chase manages to convince him to let her go, Chase says that he knows it’s hard but promises that it will get better.  Phil gives Chase the knife and is handcuffed.  Chase goes with him to the police station. 

   Everyone is watching the news and it’s announced that Chase has won the election.  At her house Angela is in her office she is  listening to the radio, the news of the elections is on.  She turns off the radio after they start talking about what will happen if Chase lives up to his promises.
Final Thoughts:  I thought that this was a interesting episode, it's getting a bit annoying that Angela is out to get Chase.   
Best Outfit:  All Angela needs is a red hat.
