JR drops a bottle onto the floor waking Sue Ellen, he tells her that he has to talk to her.  He tells her that everyone saw her, and she’s an embarrassment to him.  She says that the last thing she remembers is waiting for him at the office, he tells her he was working, and then says that it won’t happen again.  He tells her that he’s removing all the bottles from the bedroom, and will have all the liquor cabinet’s locked and the servants won’t open them for her.  Once he leaves she gets up and goes to the closet and takes out a bottle from a shoe box.
The next morning Bobby asks JR how Sue Ellen is, he doesn’t give him a answer, he asks if their parents left already, and Bobby reminds him that they went to Jock’s doctor’s appointment.  After he leaves, Pam tells Bobby she doesn’t like leaving Sue Ellen and Lucy home alone, he tells her that Ray will check in on them.  Bobby finds Lucy and tells her that he wants to talk to her once he gets home.  After he leaves she pulls out another packet of the pills and takes one.
Lucy is wandering around the house and giggling, she sees Sue Ellen coming down the stairs with a suitcase she asks her where she’s going.  Sue Ellen falls down the stairs, and Lucy sit by her side and is giggling when Ray comes in and finds them now this isn’t supposed to be funny, but it’s some of the funniest stuff on the show so far, Lucy is kind of poking at Sue Ellen laughing, and Ray is trying to get her to leave Sue Ellen alone, who’s moaning about the baby.  Ray calls an ambulance.
In Bobby’s office he’s going over some plans, and tells the man he’s with that the O.L,M won’t approve them, even if Cliff Barnes is his brother-in-law.  Ray calls Bobby and tells him about Sue Ellen and that Lucy got into more pills, he tells him he’ll be home soon.  Bobby goes to tell JR about Sue Ellen.
At the hospital, the doctor is looking over the print outs, Sue Ellen asks her if the baby is okay, she tells her that the baby will be fine.  The doctor leaves her and goes to talk to JR, she tells him that Sue Ellen was lucky this time, and that she told Sue Ellen that she needed to stop drinking, and tells him that he needs to take Sue Ellen to a clinic, but he tells her that the Ewing’s take care of their own, she says that they haven’t done a very good job so far.   Miss Ellie goes to see Sue Ellen, Jock stays behind to talk to JR, he tells him that he’s going to be watching him more closely to be sure he is doing what he should be doing.
Bobby gets home and asks where Lucy is, and Ray tells him that he got the rest of her pills.  Lucy tells him she’s sorry and doesn’t know how she could just sat there when Sue Ellen needed her help.  He asks how she would have felt if Sue Ellen died, he asks her why she’s taking the pills, she tells him to take the pain away.  He tells her that once she stops taking the pill she will feel better , she just needs to give it some time, but the pills arent’ the answer.
Sue Ellen tells Miss Ellie she needs to be more careful walking around in high heel shoes.  JR announces that Sue Ellen won’t be coming home right away, he’s going to send her to a clinic, she tries to protest, but Miss Ellie and Jock tell her that it’s what she needs.  Sue Ellen is in denial, she can’t imagine why she would need to go to the clinic.
JR drives her there, she begs him not to leave her there, he tells her it will just be till the baby is born, and the orderlies drag her into the building as she screams at JR.
Final Thoughts:  I thought Sue Ellen looked like Bella from Breaking Dawn during the scene when JR talks to her in bed, when I get the movie I want to make a video using the dialogue from Breaking Dawn with the video from this episode.
Best Outfit:  This shirt is weird it's got that illusion fabric that they use in ice skating costumes, and that look on Lucy's face is hilarious.

The Outsiders

Dallas
Season 1 Episode 27
Air Date:  March 16, 1979

Recap:  Miss Ellie asks JR why he’s calling Mr. Mainwaring, he tells her that just because the weddings off doesn’t mean that they still can’t do business together.  Miss Ellie tells JR not to talk about the Mainwaring’s again.  Bobby offers to take Lucy to school, instead he gives her a new car, he tells her it’s because he thinks that he deserves it.
At the office there is a Mr. Morgan in JR’s office he tells Jock and JR that the O.L.M have stopped them from their test drilling, because they had a delay with the environmental report, JR says that Cliff is just holding them up.  JR tells Jock that they need to do something about Cliff, and remove the O.L.M.  They need to get someone with a lot of power to help them out, they decided to call Sam Culver, he owes Jock a favor.

At a bar (which a group that looks like it could be a part of the Partridge family) there is a group of people that we’ve never seen before, they all want to go somewhere else to dance, except for one lady, she says she wants to stay and listen to the music, one of the men doesn’t like that starts to give her a hard time, they are getting a lot of notice from the other people in the bar, one of them is Ray, he comes over and suggests that the guy leaves before a fight breaks out. She thanks Ray and he asks if she would like to have a drink with him.  Later they are talking about him working the ranch.  Her cab arrives and she tells him that she had a good time, he asks if they can get together again, she asks if he will be here the next night, he said he might.
Sam is late for lunch with JR and Jock, when he does arrive they talk to him about how Cliff is out to get the Ewing’s and they want him to help them get some laws past that will help them out, I doubt even then that you could get laws past as fast as they would need them to help them.  He tells them that he needs to look in to it, and they invite him and his wife to dinner at Southfork.  She comes to pick him up, and he introduces Jock and JR to his wife Donna, she’s the lady from the bar.
JR comes home and finds Sue Ellen drinking alone in the room where the family gathers before dinner.  She says that he seems pleased with himself.  He tells her that if she isn’t going to come to dinner, then he hopes that she won’t make a sound if she passes out.
Donna meets up with Ray again, he says he didn’t think that she would come, he wants to know more about her, since they just talked about him last night.  She gives him the basic facts, but not that she is married.
Ray tells Pam and Bobby about his new lady friend and make plans to meet up for a drink in a few days.
Sam and Jock are reminiscing about their past, JR is pushing for Sam to give him an answer, but he tells him that he’s not ready yet, he wants to talk to Donna about it first.  Miss Ellie tells them that she doesn’t want to hear anymore talk about business.
In JR and Sue Ellen’s room, JR tells her that he’s glad that she didn’t speak during dinner, since she would probably have made a fool of herself.
Lucy has come friends over, hanging out by the pool, they want her to go with them to a party, but she is still upset about Kit, and doesn’t want to go, one of the girls gives her a pill, telling her that it will make her feel better.  They all cheer when she takes it.
Bobby and Ray go to the bar to meet up with Ray and his date, when they see that it’s Donna they leave before Ray could see them.  The next morning Bobby calls Donna to meet up with him, JR overhears Bobby on the phone.
One of the members of the D.O.A tells Miss Ellie that they want Sue Ellen to resign temporarily as president until she’s had the baby and is back to normal, everyone knows that Sue Ellen is drinking a lot.   They ask Miss Ellie to talk to Sue Ellen about it.
Donna meets up with Bobby and he asks her why she is seeing Ray, and if he knows she’s married.  He tells her that Ray was hurt before by Garnet McGee, she tells him that she doesn’t want to hurt Ray, and that she cares for Ray.  She tells him how she met Sam, and that she loves him but is not and has never been in love with him.  She knows that all three of them will be hurt, and she doesn’t know what she can do about it.
JR gets home and Miss Ellie tells him that Sue Ellen is resigning, I don’t think she told Sue Ellen about it yet, but to save face Sue Ellen acts like she was the one to decide this.  JR wants to know where Ray is, and Jock tells him that he went to town.  He tells him that he has to go out to, and for him to tell Sue Ellen that he will be late.
Ray and Donna are in a motel room, Ray tells her that he wants to go away together for awhile, so that they can get to know each other better.  JR is outside watching the window.
JR meets Donna as she is window shopping, he tells her that he wants her to convince Sam to support the Ewing’s, and if she does he won’t tell Ray that she’s married.
Lucy’s friends get her to come with them to another party and give her another one of those pills.
Donna calls Ray and tells him she has to see him.
JR tells Jock that he hasn’t heard from Sam yet, but he’s sure to hear from him anytime.
Ray tells Donna it’s nice to see her out in the open for a change.  She tells him that she is leaving Dallas, he asks if she is leaving or running.  She tells him that she is married, he asks her if she loves him, she tells him that her husband is rich, powerful and an older man.  He asks if he was just some young stud to her, she tells him that he is very special to her and that she would have had an affair before if it was like that.  She tells him that she loves Sam but isn’t in love with him, and that she told him that, and that she is going to divorce him,  Ray says that she can stay then, but she tells him that she can’t , she needs time to figure thinks out.  She tells him that he is a good man, and that when she comes back, he kisses her and tells her that he’ll be here.
At Southfork Bobby tells JR that Sam is on the phone for him, JR is happy to hear from him till Sam tells him that he won’t be supporting them that he will be giving his support to the O.L.M. and to Cliff.  JR starts to tell him about Donna, but Sam stops him telling him that he knows everything already.
Ray tells Bobby that he’s ready to build that house on his land, he tells him that things didn’t work out with his friend, but he learned that he can still care for someone.

Final Thought: Things are going to well for JR and Sue Ellen, everyone knows she's drinking too much but no one will say anything.  JR is getting over his head and something is going to happen where he's going to be in a lot of trouble.  I liked Donna and Ray together, I hope that she comes back, but I just don't see her being 28 like she told Ray.  But now I know about how old Bobby is, since they went to school together.
Best Outfit:  This looks like Pam is auditioning for a part in Annie Get Your Gun.
