Laura is going along with her boss as they show a house; the lady isn’t too sure about the house, until Laura tells her about how great it is.
When Sid gets to the dealership, he tells Gary how his meeting went; he sees that they hired a female mechanic.
Richard finally gets to the meeting; he is only a few minutes late.  He introduces himself to James Cargill, and tells him that he wrote a paper on him in college.  Cargill is about to leave for lunch, but Richard stops him and tells him about another case, that could help him win his case.  He shows him the paper and Cargill asks Richard to go to lunch with him.
Scooter takes Laura to lunch to celebrate the sale; he makes her call Richard to pick Jason up.
Richard tells Cargill that he wishes he would tell the partners how he is doing.  Cargill tells Richard that if they win this case then he might be able to find him a place at his firm in Chicago.
Gary and Sid are at their meeting, the two men want to buy fifteen cars to start a taxi service.  Gary is ready to sign, but Sid tells them that he wants to talk things over first.
Richard tries calling Laura, but she is still out with Scooter, he takes Jason out to eat, they run into Abby, and decided to take the dinner home and eat in the backyard.

Richard and Abby are talking about Laura working, Abby comments about Richard’s body hair (yuck), Laura gets home breaking up anything that might have happened.  Later after Abby is gone, Richard tells Laura he has to go back to work, since he had to come home to get Jason; he tells her that they are going to move to Chicago.
At the office Richard’s secretary wakes him up, he tells her about getting a job for Cargill, she tells him that he’s known for making promises.  She tells him not to burn any bridges.
Gary meets with the two guys, and they tell him that they go by different names in different states, when he tells them about Sid calling the BBB.  They suggest that Gary should make the call.
When Sid gets to the dealership the new mechanic tells Sid about the deal Gary made.  He goes over and questions Gary, he tells him that he called his cousin and they check out, he tells Sid to trust him.
Cargill tells the partners that Richard can tell them all the details about what happened.  Richard asks if he can see him, they arrange to meet for breakfast, the next day.  One of the partners takes Richard into his office, he tells Richard that until today they didn’t think he could do it, and they want to offer him a partnership.  Richard tells him that he is too good for the law firm and that he is quitting.
Laura and Scooter are going over the blueprints with the lady who bought the house, she wants to build a pool and doesn’t think there is room, Richard comes in drunk, and spills champagne all over.
The next day Richard is getting ready for his breakfast meeting with Cargill, he tells Laura that he is sorry for yesterday.  At the meeting he asks Cargill about the job offer.  Cargill tells him how much he would start him at, Richard tells him that it’s less then he was making.  He tells him that he turned down a partnership.  Cargill tells him to give him a call if he changes his mind.
Scooter tells Laura that she is a natural and that he isn’t going to fire her, she begins to cry and tells him that they are going to move to Chicago.
After dinner Laura tells Richard that they need to talk, she tells him that Scooter told her that it would be best if she got her license before they moved.  She tells him that she just needs a few months.  He tells her that he turned down the offer, and they won’t be moving.  He lies to her and tells her that he was thinking about her, she tells him that she doesn’t want to sacrifice his career.  He tells her that it was his decision.  She takes him in her arms, and he starts to cry.
Final Thoughts:  Richard is an idiot, too impulsive and really a jerk.  He really thought that he would be making millions.  I hope that someone kills him, and gets away with it.
Guest Star: Brian  Dennehy, the only thing I've ever liked him in was Tommy Boy.  I've disliked him ever since he won the Tony award for Death of a Salemen, when I think that Kevin Spacey should have won for The Iceman Cometh.

Best Outfit:  Those colors just don't look good together at all, the coral is just way too bright

The Plea

Dynasty
Season 3 Episode 1
Original Airdate:  September 29, 1982

Recap:  Blake is still unconscious at the bottom of the cliff.  Krystle is at the Ranger’s office, she is still calling Blake on the walkie talkie, the ranger tells Krystle not to worry that he is probably out of range and they will find him before the storm hits.
Joseph tells Fallon and Jeff that the nurse did leave the house, and that the police have a description of the car.  Fallon begins to cry and says that she is a terrible mother for leaving the baby, Jeff tells her that he is hurting too.  The police bring the nurse back, she tells them she went to town to get something for the cooks and, she has no clue that the baby was missing, but Fallon doesn’t believe her.
The doctor comes out and tells Alexis that Cecil suffered a massive coronary.  She wants to go in and see him, but he tells her not yet.  Alexis doesn’t take no for an answer and tells him that she was going to marry him the next day, so he lets her inside the room.  She goes to Cecil’s bedside and talks to him, he opens his eyes, but it doesn’t look like he even knows she is there.  She tells him that she loves him and that he has to get better because they have so much that they need to do together.  She says that she wants to get married right here in his hospital room.
It's raining and lightening, Blake begins to wake up, he hears Krystle calling him from the walkie talkie, but when he tries to grab it, it falls further down the hill.
Jeff tells the police about the old man he saw at the cemetery, he tells them that he could id him again if he saw him.  Fallon tells them that they should be talking to the nurse.  The Lieutenant tells her that they are checking everything out.  Fallon doesn’t think they are doing enough and leaves to call Blake.
Krystle puts on a rain poncho and goes out into the storm to look for Blake herself.
The doctor tells Alexis that he heard about her plan to marry Cecil and tells her that he won’t allow it.  She tells him that he has made a mistake, because Cecil is a member of the hospital board.  He tells her that Cecil’s heart won’t take it, but she insists that she will marry him.  He tells her that it all depends on Cecil, and if he gets better.
Claudia finds Jeff in the nursery, she says that no one can sleep tonight, just like she couldn’t sleep when she got the news about Lindsay.  She asks Jeff to kiss her, but he doesn’t want to, she is confused because he went to her when Fallon wouldn’t have anything to do with him, then she realizes that he is thinking about how she used him.  She tells him that God is punishing them all, and she is glad that Cecil is in the hospital.   Joseph comes in and tells Jeff that the Lieutenant is downstairs.
Blake is trying to get up the cliff, but slips, he tries again and makes it to the top.  Krystle is still looking for him.
The Lieutenant tells the nurse that he knows that she lied to him about why she left New York.  He tells her that he knows she is a convicted felon.  She stole a cigarette case from Cartier.  She tells him that she took it for a man who she was in love with, but who didn’t love her.  He asks who it was, she tells them that is was Nick Toscanni.  She says that she followed him to Denver, but she swears that she doesn’t know anything about the baby’s kidnapping.  Once she is gone Jeff tells the Lieutenant about the last time he saw Nick and how angry he seemed when he talked about the baby.
Krystle is off her horse searching for Blake, she sees him walking towards her.  Blake looks up and sees Krystle and they walk towards each other.
Blake is taken to the hospital, he wants to go home, but the doctor tells him that they want to keep him over night.  Alexis sees him being taken into a room, she goes over to Krystle.  She asks her what happened.  Krystle tells her that if she hadn’t had her wedding set up on their lawn that this would never have happened.  Krystle leaves her and goes into the room.  Blake tries to get her to take him home but she tells him that he has to rest, she even turned off the phones in his room.  She comments about how Nick told her he never saw Blake.  Blake tells her that he did see Nick, he wonders what Nick is up to.
Jeff tells Krystle about the baby.  Alexis goes over to Krystle and tells her that she won’t be blamed for what happened to Blake, Krystle tells her that she should be more concerned about her daughter now that the baby has been kidnapped.  Krystle tells Blake about the baby, and he tells her that they have to go back to the house.  Alexis walks in and asks him if their nightmare is happening all over again.  Before they leave the hospital Blake questions the doctor about Nick.  He tells them that Nick quit and disappeared.
At the house Blake tells Jeff about his fight with Nick, he is sure that Nick is behind the kidnapping.  Blake checks on Fallon as she is sleeping.  He promises her that he will get her baby back.
Blake says that he is going to go on the news and make an appeal to have the baby returned to them.  The Lieutenant tells him that he is sure that Blake must have more than one enemy, not to just assume that it is Nick.  Alexis comes and says that they went through this before and they will get through it again together.
Krystle asks Blake about what Alexis said, but he tells her that he doesn’t want to talk about it, he doesn’t want to open old wounds, he tells her that he is sorry and tells her that he can’t talk about it yet, she tells him that she understands.
Fallon goes into the nursery and Claudia follows her inside, she tells her that she is glad that she isn’t like her, she can see the hope in her eyes.  She tells Fallon not to let go of it.  A camera man walks in and tells Fallon that Blake wants the press conference filmed in the nursery.
Blake asks Claudia about the man she saw.  She says that she is sure he had a beard, she tells him that she woke up and remembered that the car had an odd emblem on it, like a curlicue, he asks her if it could be Arabic, she says that it could.  Blake says that it must have been Ahmed.
An old lady comforts the baby, she opens the door and gives the baby to someone.
The family all gathers in the nursery and give the press conference.  Blake makes his plea, and Alexis interrupts and tells them about Adam, their first son who was kidnapped twenty-five years ago.
An old lady is watching the press conference, she is crying, Michael walks in and she calls him Adam.  He tells her that his name is Michael, and she tells him no, his name is Adam Carrington.  He tells her not to get upset, that it is only a tv program.  The doctor comes in and checks on the old lady.  He tells Michael that she won’t be with them much longer.  Michael tells him that he thinks she has become delusional.  He tells Michael that she is still as sharp as a tack.
Alexis asks Blake what if it will be just like Adam.  Blake turns and hugs Fallon.
Final Thoughts:  Loved the ending.  I really doubt that Nick had anything to do with the kidnapping, it is more likely that it was Ahmed that is responsible.  Even the creepy old man at the cemetery seemed more like a red herring then an actual suspect.  Can’t wait for the return of Adam, and see what kind of drama comes with that.
Best Outfit:  I choose this because I noticed that Krystle's pants were made of matching fabric.  I love that Alexis has a Kleenex in her bracelet.  This has nothing to do with an outfit but why is Joseph in the video plea, he's not a member of the family no matter what any of them say.

Remember the Good Times

Knots Landing
Season 2 Episode 3

Recap:  Abby is lying in the pool as Karen folds Abby’s laundry that she did for her too, Val comes over to show them her new dishes that she just bought.  Abby asks Val if she can babysit, so she can go on a date, but Val tells her that she can’t she has to go to a meeting with Gary.  She asks her what kind of meeting and Val tells her that Gary is an alcoholic.
At the meeting that night, Val introduces Gary to Judy, she tells them that she was supposed to come with her husband but he never showed up.  Val suggests that Gary talk to him, and Gary’s doctor, who is also an alcoholic tells him says that it’s a good idea.  They leave the meeting and Judy finds her husband Earl outside, she introduces him to Val and Gary.  Val gives him Gary’s number at work and their home number and tells him that it’s just in case he wants help.  Earl rips the card up.
Ginger comes home from a date, he wants to come inside with her but she tells him she has a headache.  That doesn’t deter him, but luckily for her the phone rings and she gets rid of him.  Kenny is calling he wants to pick up a microphone, she tells him to come by in the morning.
As they are getting into bed, Gary tells Val that Earl is nothing but trouble; she tells him that he could help him.  He tells her that Earl has to want the help, and he doesn’t want it yet, he knows because that is how he was.
Everyone, but Abby is working on moving things into her house, she invites Richard over to swim, when Laura comes out she invites her took, mainly because Ginger is right there.  Inside Abby tells Karen that she needs to break a date since she has so much work to do; Karen suggests that Eric came babysit for her.
At the dealership, Gary is trying to convince Sid on an idea to bring in more business.  They are interrupted by Earl, who stumbles in and starts knocking things over.  Gary takes him to his place, when Val comes back home from Abby’s, Gary tells her that Earl is upstairs.  She tells him to go back to work and she’ll call Judy.
Ginger gets home and finds Kenny; he has brought the microphone back, like it’s something that she can’t live without.  He tells her he wants to take her out to dinner, to the restaurant they had their first date, and where he proposed to her.
Judy tells Val about how she and Earl ended up in California, he joins them downstairs and soon he and Judy are arguing.
Ginger and Kenny are at the restaurant they are talking about their past.
Judy is helping Val set the table when Gary gets home; he goes up to check up on Earl.  Earl asks him if he has to deal with the women, Gary tells him only during dinner, and then they are going to go to a meeting.  After Gary leaves to go wash up, Earl gets up and takes a drink from a bottle he had in his pocket.  Over dinner Val is trying to keep the conversation cheerful, but Earl is belligerent, he excuses himself and Judy tries to apologize for his behavior.  He goes into the bathroom, which I thought had to be a closet since it’s right off the front door, and takes another drink.  When he sits back down, Val suggests that he eat something, he starts pounding the table and throws the dishes.  Gary takes him away, and Val tells Judy that everything will be alright.
At the AA meeting, Gary convinces Earl to speak, when they ask if it’s anyone’s first meeting.  Everyone cheers him on, Earl he looks surprised by all the attention, I think he likes the feeling.  After the meeting Earl asks Gary if he is his sponsor, Gary say that he guesses that he is.  Gary suggests they go get a cup of coffee and talk.  Gary asks him when he started drinking, he tells him that he used to only drink after work, then it became all the time.  Gary tells him about how he had been sober for a year, before he started drinking again.  Earl tells him that he can’t go through the day without a drink and gets up; Gary tells him that he will help him; Earl goes to the bar (why did they go to a place that had a bar?  I’m sure that they must have a Waffle House or something).  He tells Gary that he doesn’t want to stop.
Kenny and Ginger come home, she thanks him for the evening and they kiss, and go inside.
Gary gets home and he tells Val that Earl is out drinking.  She tells him that she is sorry that she gave him his number.  He tells Val that he is sure that Earl is ready to stop, but he needs someone that can really help him.
Karen goes over to Abby’s and finds that she still isn’t home, she send Eric home since it’s a school night, and she stays to wait for Abby to come home.
Gary tells Val that he doesn’t want to talk about his drinking problem, but Val tells him that she wants to help him that it’s what they promised each other, when they got back together again.  The phone rings, interrupting their moment, it’s Judy.  Gary tells her that he’s on his way.  He tells Val he needs to go on his own and that she shouldn’t wait up.
Earl wakes up screaming, Judy tells Gary that she doesn’t know why he’s doing this for them.  He tells her that it’s helping him not want to drink.  Earl starts to cry and Gary tells her that it’s worse than it looks.  She tells him that he is so strong, and that she can’t live with Earl anymore, she hugs him and tells him that she hopes that Val knows how lucky she is that he is sober.
Val is still up waiting for Gary to come home, she sees a car drive by; she looks out and sees that it’s only Abby.  When Abby gets home, she is surprised that Karen is there not Eric.  Karen tells her that she should have been home since it was the kid’s first night in a new house.  Abby doesn’t seem to be concerned about it at all.
Gary calls Val and tells her that they took Earl to the hospital, she tells him she’ll be right over.
Kenny thinks that he can move back in, but Ginger tells him that unless they resolve their problems then nothing will change.  He can’t live with another woman and be with her too.
The doctor pulls Val aside and tells her that she doesn’t need to take care of Gary anymore, he will have to do things that she can’t be a part of, she tells Val about the AL ANON meetings.  When Gary leaves Earl’s room, he finds Val waiting for him.  He tells her that he has never felt better, and she tells him how proud she is of him.
Final Thoughts:  My favorite part of this episode was when Abby isn’t doing anything and everyone is working, and Karen asks her if she did any cleaning before.  I hope that Gary doesn’t relapse; this isn’t a storyline that I really enjoy.  I have a feeling that this isn’t the last time we see Judy or Earl, especially when Judy hugged Gary.
Best Outfit:  Too much going on one pattern with the black would have been fine.

Angela tells Emma that she shouldn’t have bought the car; Emma tells her that she wants her independence.  Angela asks her if she read the papers Philip left for her, Emma tells her that she did, but that she didn’t sign them, she doesn’t understand why Angela wants to be her proxy on The Globes board.  Emma tells her that she doesn’t think her father would have given her such a nice gift if he didn’t want her to enjoy it.
Melissa speeds up and both Philip and Angela tell her that she shouldn’t be driving recklessly.  She tells Angela that she had to tell her how dangerous Richard Channing is.  Philip tells Angela that Richard fired the editor of the paper; she asks him if it’s legal.  He tells her more of what they found out about what Richard Channing has been doing.  She asks if he found his mother yet.  Philip tells her that finding his mother is what he seems to most concerned about.
Angela, Lance, Melissa and Julia all get in the car to go look for Emma; Lance says that she probably went to see Vicky.  Once they get to Chase’s house, Julia and Angela go inside, a moment later Julia calls to them and tells them that they found her.  When Lance and Melissa get to the door everyone calls out surprise.  Then people come out of nowhere, and I got to wondering where they all parked.  Carlo toasts to the baby, and says something about it being an Agretti, but Angela tells him that it would be the end of the Agretti line, the baby would be a Channing.  Emma is talking to Chase, she tells him about her plans to leave Falcon Crest.  Angela come over and asks Chase if he has changed his mind about the water rights, he tells her he hasn't.  Emma tells him that he will be the only one who knows she is leaving; she gives him the number of where she will be.  Carlo sees Lance with another woman.  Maggie is taking to Daryl Clayton, and he tells her that he will read her script.  Carlo goes over to Lance and tells the girl to go inside.  He asks Lance if he did something to offend him.  He tells him that he doesn’t treat Melissa with the respect she deserves.  Lance tells him that he just doesn’t understand his sense of humor.  Carlo tells him that he doesn't think how he treats his daughter is a joke and he attacks Lance.  Chase and Cole rush over to separate them.  Carlo threatens to kill Lance and Lance just taunts him.

(re-watch the ending)
Final Thoughts:  I liked this episode, lots of drama.  Someone is going to die and if it’s not Carlo then he is going to be the prime suspect, he’s told two people now that he is going to kill them.  I liked how ruthless Richard was, I hope we get to find out who his mother is soon.

Guest Star: Roy Thinnes, he was in a couple episodes of The X-Files and he was also in the 1990's version of Dark Shadows.
Best Outfit:  I can't tell if that is her shirt or the tie?
