Fallon's Father

Dynasty
Season 2 Episode 4
Air Date:  November 25, 1981 (1981-11-25)

rerRecap:  Alexis joins Blake at the pool, he catches her in a lie about his roses.  He asks what she wants.  She tells him she wants him to make things up with Steven.  She tells him that he's his only child and that Fallon isn't his daughter, he tells her to stop telling that lie.
Jeff wants to go look for houses, but Steven calls and tells Fallon that he wants to see her.
He tells her that he wants to make things up with her, she tells him that he needs to give their father a chance.  He tells her that no matter what anyone says that he'll always be her brother, and that he loves her.  She realizes that he knows something, but he doesn't tell her what it is.
At breakfast, Blake asks Krystle what's wrong, she tells him that she wanted to bring up flowers to Claudia, but Alexis had them all cut.  He tell her not to think about her that she'll be gone soon.  Jeff joins Krystle and tells her that they are going to be moving.  She tells him that they don't need to leave because of her having a baby.  Jeff pretends like he knew.
Krystle goes to Alexis' studio and confronts Alexis about the flowers, she tells her that she isn't a guest, and if she wants flowers then she needs to go buy her own.  Alexis tells her that she would like to paint Krystle and that they can give to Blake as a gift (why would she want to give Blake a gift with her, they aren't friends).  Krystle tells her that she's got a lot of nerve
Blake meets Cecil at the air field.  Blake tells him that he doesn't think Cecil tired very hard to support Blake's interests in California.
Nick arrives at the Carrington mansion, Krystle takes him up to Claudia's room, she asks him if she can visit with Claudia, and wants her to feel welcome in the house.  He asks Claudia how she is doing.  She tells him that she's trying to sort things out, but it doesn't help.  He tells her that it will take time.  He asks if she loved Matthew and about her feelings for Steven.  She says that a part of her will always love Steven, he tells her that there's nothing wrong with her feelings.
Cecil comes to visit Alexis, she asks him to help her get Steven back into Blake's will.  She tells him that he is Fallon's father, he says that there were a lot of other men at that time, so it could by anyone, but she says no that he was very memorable.  He stops her from telling Blake that he's the father, and says that he'll help her.
Krystle brings Claudia flowers, she tells her that she wishes she had been more honest with Claudia, things might have been different then.  Claudia asks her if Matthew told her were he took Lindsay, Krystle says that she hasn't heard from Matthew, Claudia gets upset and smashes the vase of roses.
Cecil and Steven meet for lunch, Steven asks why he's getting involved.
Fallon is playing tennis and Jeff comes over and asks why she didn't tell him about Krystle being pregnant, and if that's why she wants to have a baby.
Nick is working on his car when Krystle calls, she tells him she wants to talk to him about Claudia.  She tells him about Matthew, he offers her some wine, she decline, he puts a grape in her mouth, which seems to creep her out.  She then tells him that Matthew had an affair and that Claudia knows who she was, and then she reveals that it was her.  Krystle tells him that there's something about Nick that makes her uneasy, and she wants to know who he is.  She gets up and has a dizzy spell, he takes her home.
Steven is really drunk.  Blake asks him why he's there, Steven tells him that he's forgiven him, because of his talk with Fallon and Cecil.  Blake asks why he was talking with Cecil, Steven tells him that Alexis asked him to talk to Steven.  He tells Blake that he's lucky that Alexis didn't tell the court all her secrets, he rushes out of the house and hits his head on the railing of the pool ladder and falls into the pool.
Nick has just dropped off Krystle and they hear the dogs barking, Nick rushes to the back and pulls Steven out of the pool, he tells the security guard to call the paramedics while he begins CPR.
At the hospital Blake watches as the doctors work on Steven, Alexis rushes in the doctors tell them that they need to leave, they comfort each other, and Krystle sees them, Nick watches her to see her reaction to this.
Final Thoughts:  Steven was so funny while he was drunk.  I don't know what's up with Nick, but shoving that grape in Krystle's mouth like that was just too weird.  I have a feeling that Fallon is going to find out about Blake not being her father very soon.
Best Outfit:  Not only is the pattern on the jacket hideous, but the dress, the nylons, and the shoes all match.  It wouldn't be that bad if the nylons were nude.
Fight Count:  2 (Krystle vs Alexis) (Claudia vs Krystle)

Jock gives Julie the necklace he bought earlier, she asks if it is a hello gift or a good bye gift.  He tells her that he doesn't know what he wants, but he doesn't want to hurt Miss Ellie, Julie tells him that she'll miss him and to go home.
Outside Julie's apartment Jock meets Miss Ellie, he apologizes for what he's done, she forgives him and they go home together.  They were being watched from across the street by JR, he goes to Julie's apartment, she tell him to get out, but he forces his way inside and takes her into his arms and kisses her.
Final Thoughts:  This episode was full on soap opera, with the love triangle, the younger woman.  I feel like something is building here, but will have to wait and see what is going to happen next.

Best Outfit:  I choose this because of the sleeves on this sweater dress, and the fur scarf thing she's got, it's the best thing to wear when you are trying to apologize for destroying a man's career and almost a whole business.
Fight Count:  2 (Jock vs JR and Bobby) (Bobby vs JR)

Final Thoughts:   This was a interesting pilot episode, you meet everyone, and get an idea of who everyone is.  I decided to start watching this now since I'm watching episodes of Dallas that were playing around the same time, so in case anything crosses over story wise then it will make sense.
Best Outfit:   I had to pick this just because of the medallion, take the vest off and it looks like anything you might see now, maybe with different shoes.

Lance tells Angela that they family has arrived, and he asks what they are going to do about it. She says let's invite them to dinner.
Lance and Angela greet the family and welcome them to their new home.

Final Thoughts:  I like how they introduced the cast, and started with a secret that I'm sure will play out through out the first season, I love Susan Sullivan on Castle so it's pretty cool to see her in this.  I've got an issue with their daughter's frizzy hair, it's like Gene Wilder from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Best Outfit:  I didn't like anything that Vicky wore in this episode, but I thought that this jacket/shirt was the worst because of the back mostly, which from this shot you can't see, but I couldn't get a better shot, so I went with this one,
Fight Count: 3 (Jason vs drifter) (Cole vs teacher) (Chase vs Cole)

Pam and Bobby go to Garrison’s hotel to talk, he’s asleep Kathy tells them.  She tells them that she’s not his lover, but his nurse, and that he’s dying.   Later at the ranch Pam and Bobby talk about what they should do about what they learned.

Miss Ellie goes to visit Garrison, Kathy leaves them, and Garrison tells her that he’s dying.
Ray meets up with his friend at the bar, he tells Ray that he’s got someone who might know something.  That same guy goes to JR first, knowing that he’ll get money from JR for his information.
At the ranch Miss Ellie brings the family together and tells them that Garrison will be moving into Southfork, and that he’s dying.  Jock apologizes, and Miss Ellie tells him that she’s not angry anymore, and she only wants things to be as normal for Garrison as they can be.
She and Garrison go for a walk, he tells her that the ranch is like it was before the depression, he’s happy to be home again.
Final Thoughts:   This was a good episode, it gave us more of a backstory to Jock and Ellie, and it was from a different perspective, then either of them or Digger.
Best Outfit:  This isn't terrible, but maybe if your going into town to see someone as important as JR Ewing, you might want to put on some clean clothes.
Fight Count:  2 (Garrison vs Jock and JR) (Miss Ellie vs JR)

At the office Blake tells Andrew to go up to a ½ a million dollars to buy the studio from Alexis.
Claudia is looking at all of Lindsay’s things, she sits on the bed and begins to cry, she takes her pill bottle and pour them all into her hand.
Blake’s secretary tells Blake that she can’t understand what Claudia is saying.  Blake gets on the phone and can barely hear Claudia, the phone drops and Blake rushes to her house, he calls a doctor, who gets there right after Blake, he kicks the door in and they finds Claudia laying on the bed two pill bottle on the floor.  Nick tells Blake to get some wet towels, and he begins to try to wake Claudia up, he walks her around the room talking to her about his family’s small apartment in New York, then when he’s got her somewhat awake they take her to the bathroom.
Andrew tells Alexis about Blake’s offer, she tells him she’s not interested, then he tells her that Steven has been written out of Blake’s will.
At the Carrington mansion Nick is waiting for Claudia to wake up. He tells her that he saved her life, she asks if she’s supposed to thank him for it.  He talks to her till she falls asleep again, then goes to find Blake, he tells him that she’ll be fine, but not to send her home again, because she’ll probably try it again.  Blake tells him that he wants him to help Claudia, Nick is a physiatrist.  But Nick tells him to find someone else for the job, and leaves, he literally runs into Krystle who comes home from her doctor’s appointment, and with a silver spoon for the baby.  Nick comes back and tells Blake that he’ll treat Claudia.
Fallon is making phone calls, looking for Michael, Krystle comes in and tells her to drop it.  Krystle tells Fallon that she’s pregnant.
Later Jeff meets Fallon outside a really cheap motel, she wants to have a picnic with him, and tells him that she wants them to have a baby together.
Alexis has dinner ready for Steven when he gets home, she tells him that it’s catered, like he would believe she really made it all.  She tells him that she wants him to make things up with Blake, be tells her he doesn’t want to.  She tells him he needs to stop hating Blake and that he needs to care.  Then tells asks him what if he was Blake’s only child.  Steven gets mad at her and tells her it’s not true that Fallon is Blake’s daughter and his sister, but Alexis tells him that it’s true that Fallon isn’t Blake’s.
At Nick’s house he gets a call from his sister, he tells her he’s found a way to get to Blake, and that he will pay him back for what he did.
Final Thoughts:  What an cliffhanger, I bet people were glad that it wasn't the end of the season.  Who is Fallon's father, I can't wait to see Fallon freak out when she hears this, or is Alexis lying, you can never tell with Alexis.  What's up with Fallon wanting a baby just because Kystle is pregnant, why does she need to compete with that too?
Best Outfit:   Not a fan of the culottes Alexis with the boots, so far her clothes have been okay, but anything else like then you'll be put on the list with Fallon.
Fight Count:  0
